China Sigma Co., Ltd. was formerly affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the China Sigma Photoelectronic Co., Ltd. In 1993, the company carried out a significant restructuring with the introduction of private capital. In August 1994, the company officially changed its name to "China Sigma Co., Ltd." with the approval of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce. After over 20 years of development and expansion, the company has more than 30 wholly-owned, joint-stock and holding enterprises. China Sigma Co., Ltd. is now a nation-wide, cross-industry, large-scale joint-stock investment group.
China Sigma aims to develop into a diversified conglomerate with investment areas in real estate, finance and cultural tourism. It intends to build its business with core interests in "senior-friendly leisure & wellness residences", "luxury tourism" and "leisure & entertainment". The company will focus on projects located in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Capital Economic Zone, the Yangtze River Delta Region Economic Zone and the Hainan Resort Economic Zone.
